The latest edition from smart has been christened sharpred. This smart fortwo is a real eye-catcher as the intense red of the tridion safety cell and door mirror housing forms a striking contrast to the rest of the exterior in black. The smart fortwo sharpred is available as a coupe and as a cabrio.

car2go N. A. LLC, a subsidiary of Daimler North America Corporation, announced that San Diego will be the first North American city to have a 100-percent electric vehicle (EV) carsharing program. San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders, Nicholas Cole, President and CEO of car2go N. A. LLC, and Jonathan Read, CEO of ECOtality, made the official announcement at a news conference at the El Cortez this morning.

Daimler AG and Renault SA are starting to share technology according to an article in the French Newspaper La Tribune. Back in April 2010 Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn and Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche signed a strategic alliance to cut development and production costs.
